Johann Ezdorf was a painter of hunting scenes. The elder brother of the artist Christian Frederick Exdorf , Johann studied at the academy of art in Munich
In 1821 he made a study trip to Hamburg, Scandinavia and England. He was a painter to the court and a member of the academy in Stockholm.
