Biography: Margaret Isabel Dovaston was a British artist who became particularly well known for her oil paintings of historical interior English genre scenes, often depicting groups of figures in Georgian dress. She exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1908 and 1910 She also exhibited at Walker's Gallery, London in 1910, as well as the RBA between 1910 and 1913. In 1910, she was elected a member of the RBA.
