Walnut veneered writing slope with brass bound edges. Secret drawers behind spring loaded cover flap (strong spring.) Comes with inkwell and key. Original gold tooled skiver. 19th Century. Secret drawers are accessed by lifting the left hand division (to the right of the inkwell.) Note this is quite stiff, eased by pressing in the cover flap.
