This stylish Heriz carpet paints a classic Persian central medallion format with saturated contrasting color. The dark indigo internal medallion inside the bigger ivory medallion paired with a leading border of the same intensity, as hues of red balanced with medium and sky blue in rust field. Ivory accents are used to great effect to highlight the corners and smaller motifs throughout. Of particular merit is a garland of large blossoming vine scroll surrounding the central medallion. Its aesthetic is familiar from Northwest Persian border design, but it is applied here with classic bold Heriz drawing and scale.
